Pros
Making the move to KIND has been the single best career decision I've made. The company, leadership, and the team honor the company's name. Internally, people treat each other with respect and kindness - it's like one big family, and you feel like everyone, at all levels, cares about you. I can honestly say that every day I come to work, I am 100% comfortable being myself. And, the company gives back to the community through its social and philanthropic activities. Working for a company with a mission definitely gives me a deeper sense of purpose. The energy and excitement are also high given the company's fast growth. And, every fully-time team member is an owner in the company, so there is an ownership attitude - you feel like you are part of something bigger than yourself.
Cons
KIND isn't a start-up anymore, but it sometimes operates like one . There is an entrepreneurial attitude and as a result not a lot of process in place. If you thrive in a less structured environment, where things change often, then you will love it. If you prefer more structure and process, then KIND might not be the best place for you. In other words, it's not traditionally "corporate." Also, the company is growing quickly so the pace is fast, and there is an expectation that you are committed to excellence and give 110%. I personally appreciate that standard, but for some who want work to be nothing more than a 9-5, it could at times get overwhelming.
