Pros

Great benefits, salary, PTO, and other company functions. Potential to work on some great applications.

Cons

Work life balance is only for a certain few. Financially managed poorly. Fly by night decisions. They talk the talk, but don't necessarily walk the walk.

Pros

Keysys has a solid cultural base for helping junior engineers develop their skills. Senior Leadership is friendly and approachable. You have some flexibility about responsibilities. So you can grow into the role you want to.

Cons

The senior technical leadership has a culture that runs opposite to sales and HR. Technical leadership has a tendency to put engineers into very difficult situations by over promising to clients, resulting in many poor outcomes. This destroys moral for team members under their management. Because no amount of effort can lead to success, instead you are motivated by trying to lessen the impact of failure. Benefits were comparable to market for me, but I heard at least 3 accounts of engineers making a full third lower than the market rate given their experience. Keysys also has a problem surrounding its culture being counter productive for its chosen industry. Instead of the typical "Up or out" philosophy of many consultancies, Keysys has a more traditional southeastern engineering culture. Entrenched pillars of knowledge dominate the projects and their interactions with clients. Which leads to long tenures for some employees, but most employees who leave exit ungraciously after being burned by a lack of tribal knowledge. This leads to an opposite effect of most consultancies, where the employees will actively blockade more work from heading to the organization.
