That said, the experience wasn’t without its challenges. There is a level of micromanagement and internal bottlenecks that can lead to frustration, slow decision-making, and unnecessary stress. At times, small issues were treated like emergencies, which created anxiety and felt disproportionate to the actual stakes.
I also often felt that my skill set and strategic thinking were underutilized. While growth potential is frequently discussed, the reality is that the company struggles with how to support and advance to manager and senior-level or executive-minded employees. There isn’t a clear or true path for growth at any level, which can feel limiting if you’re ready to contribute more strategically.
Overall, Juliska is a beautiful brand with wonderful people and a lot of heart. My experience there helped shape me professionally, and I’m grateful for it—but there are structural and leadership challenges that, if addressed, could make it an even better place to grow and thrive.
