Pros

Pay, and that's about it.

Cons

Partners have impossible standards, provide little to no mentorship and expect the world out of the box. Horrible work environment.

We appreciate all feedback--both good and bad. We are sorry that your experience working at JD was a negative one. We understand that this is a demanding work environment and that the firm as a whole has very high expectations. We always let all prospective hires know they will be challenged, but they will also get opportunities and exposure that they just will not get at other firms. We pay our team very well and in exchange we ask that everyone give 150%. Not everyone makes it at the firm and we get that we aren't always a good fit. And that's ok. However, we do take issue with any suggestion that we don't provide mentorship. We want everyone at JD to succeed and we make sure we give everyone the tools that they need to thrive. Every new attorney is paired with a partner and experienced team of litigators and briefing attorneys on every case. We spend months training every attorney on wage and hour litigation, provide weekly hands on subject matter training, and offer guidance to every member of our team on every aspect of our practice--regardless of their level of experience, tenure or role. Its a fast-paced and extremely rewarding environment and we are proud of what we've accomplished for our clients. We wish you the best of luck in the future.
