Pros
Good pay. They really take care of their employees and promote a decent work/life balance. Also, working in the outdoor industry is a blast.
Cons
One common problem is that it is they very rarely promote people into upper-management from within. It seems like they alwasy hire Director level people, and above, from outside the company. So once people are at a manager level, they often leave after a period b/c they know they aren't moving up. Also, they recently have been consolidating leadership in Racine, so what you end up having is people who are in charge of a division, but spend very little time at the location they are in charge of and don't have a clear view of the capabilities and challenges of that team. Finally, generally speaking, the culture is great but there are exceptions. I never experienced this personally, but there was one Director in my division that was agressive and very innappropriate with several employees that reported to him. I know that he was reported to HR but, for whatever reason nothing ever happened. While most of those employees all eventually moved on, that Director is still there.
