Pros

I don't know who wrote the negative review on here but, for anyone who may be put of by it (like I nearly was) ignore it! I've been working for John Smedley for a little while now and can only say positive things about my experience. The pay seems pretty good for retail at £8 per hour plus you get good commission (I usually walk away with an extra £5 after a quiet shift but sometimes it can get up to £20 or more). The other staff are all really nice and hours pretty flexible by comparison to my previous retail/bar jobs. Perhaps the best part is the fact that you're surrounded by beautiful John Smedley knitwear all day long! Definitely a good shout for someone who loves the brand..

Cons

Can't think of anything so far.. The shop currently has a nice balance of not being too busy and not being too quiet. Maybe things will get a little hectic as more customers come piling in for their winter garments but for now, it's all good.

Pros

None!! I wouldn't let my worst enemy work here.

Cons

The company pays you peanuts for working your butt off in which they don't recognise your hard work. The pay is incredibly low for a so called luxury brand. And management are super sloppy and expect you to be the brains, I don't think so!! It is a very unorganised shop.
