Cons
Promotions are given to those who are friends with people in high positions. People who have been loyal to the company and deserving of promotions are overlooked whilst external friends of the Directors are brought in instead. Dramatic decisions are made by people who have no grasp on the day to day processes of the business and with little to no communication. The CTO is highly unpredictable and often yells and swears at people, making staff anxious to be in the office. The other Directors pass this behaviour off and explain that he's actually really smart so it's ok. The office manager, recruiter, Director of Operations, Director of Customer, and HR are completely incompetent and again related to the owners. Marry someone senior and you'll get a free visa and all expenses paid to ship over here whilst being a manager to a massive team in Pakistan. Salary increases are very rare and completely random - not based on actual performance. The starting salary as an Implementation Consultant is lower than the amount competitors were offering 10 years ago, and salary reviews are rare if not non-existent. Earlier in the year, a collective grievance was raised against the company as they created a new, illegal policy that breached employment law and contradicted the impacted employee's contracts. There is a complete lack of communication both between teams and also from higher up. The business boasts about new business acquisitions and investment yet cannot treat their staff with respect or listen to their feedback. Changes in process come as a surprise when situations arise and are communicated on long slack threads with little visibility. Their eagerness to create half baked functionality creates a negative environment for staff where frustrated customers constantly complain about lack of product features and workflows not being considered when designing features - customer churn has never been higher. The sales team have no accountability due to the sales Director being very close with the CEO.
