Pros

The CEO is a decent guy who lost control after taking on investors.

Cons

JobNimbus used to be great. They laid a bunch of people off through an email late on the Tuesday night before thanksgiving—zero tact. Then, they took the entire company on a trip. Then, they promoted a TON of people. Then, they fired more people and tried to spin it like it wasn’t a lay off (“We’re just pivoting….”) The directors they’ve promoted raise some serious flags. Theye difficult to work for and have zero interpersonal skills. It was a political game. They let go some excellent talent and are now scrambling to figure out how to keep departments from falling apart. Their methods for laying people off are so unsympathetic and classless. They keep trying to rebuild what they’ve destroyed but in the meantime, destroy even more. So disappointed in what was once a great company. There is no loyalty and absolutely no sense of family. Don’t be fooled, the culture that used to be fantastic is no longer. Their boiler plate responses to these negative reviews should speak volumes. There’s no excuse. Steer clear.

We’re bummed to hear your disappointment about JobNimbus. We want nothing more than to have every team member feel cared for & energized about our team & culture. With the way the economy is going, we’ve had to look at our costs and make some adjustments to control our expenses during these uncertain times. We’ve lowered as many non-headcount costs as possible for 2023, but 80% of our expenses come from payroll. We are disheartened we had to do a reduction in force of about 10% of the company. In order to make the decision on who would be part of this reduction, we looked at a number of things including: which roles can be outsourced, individual performance, tenure, roles that could be eliminated, job duties that could be reassigned, outcomes based off of scorecards, and what positions are critical to supporting our customer base. This criteria was looked at by each team and department to make decisions. We sent an email as a notice because we wanted everyone to know at the same moment if they were impacted or not. Word spreads fast, and we didn’t want anyone to be uncertain of the status of their employment. We wanted nothing more than to have these conversations face-to-face, but could not find a way to do that without creating uncertainty. We wanted to respect each person’s privacy as they received this difficult news. We offered those impacted a 2 month severance package. Additionally, we are helping with job searching support. We’ve facilitated 490+ introductions and lined up 100+ interviews for those impacted up to this point, because we care about everyone who has and ever will work for JobNimbus. We’ve held webinars about resume building, preparing for a phone interview, and preparing for in person interviews. As a result of these changes we’ve had to restructure some teams to best leverage our existing team. That has included promoting several people to new roles. We will continue to adapt to do what is best for our customers and JForce. If you have specific concerns regarding these changes or the people promoted, please speak with a member of PX.

Pros

There is a bright future at a company that actually has a vision for the future and a plan on how to get there. The full scale embrace to AI has also been refreshing.

Cons

There can still be silos that spring up and the work volume and pace is high. It will work for some types of people and not for others.

Thank you for taking the time to share this review! We’re glad the vision and direction of the company are coming through clearly. A lot of effort goes into not just setting a strategy, but actually executing on it, especially with how we’re leaning into AI across the business. You’re also spot on about the pace. It’s intentional, and we know it’s not for everyone. We’re building for people who thrive in that kind of environment, but we also want to make sure we’re supporting our teams so the pace is sustainable. The note on silos and customer experience is heard. As we scale, staying aligned and keeping the customer at the center of every decision is the standard by which we operate. Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback.

Pros

The office looks nice There was a lot of excitement There are still some really great people there

Cons

Aging platform where the original writers made a big mess. Current leadership blames new engineers for the problems they caused. The office looks nice, but is actually very much in disrepair. Good luck finding a chair that works. This company does keep any commitments (clients or employees). Extreme technical debt. Imagine a couple of people just throwing code at the wall for 10 years trying to see what "sticks", that would be better. Burnout culture. Toxic blame culture. The company values look good, but leadership does not keep their own values. Outside hires instead of internal promotions.
