Pros
You couldn't ask for a better team of people to work for and with. Highly knowledgeable managers and senior engineers allow for in-depth learning and proper development as a Professional Engineer. Jastram also manufactures products in-house which allows exposure to operational and developmental processes that cannot be found in most other small businesses. The size of the company also allows bonding with people from all departments from sales to engineering to marketing and even with management and accounting. It is a nice tight-knit family like dynamic, not without its conflicts certainly, but almost always to make things better. Work hours are somewhat flexible (don't expect them to be tech start-up flexible though). Don't let the few "bad eggs" of the past cast doubt in the company. If you like challenging design problems within a market that offers both breadth and depth of opportunities to grow, this is the place for you.
Cons
You will not earn top dollar at Jastram because of current market situations and operational effiency, but the opportunity to grow the company into something amazing is real and is achievable. I encourage you to reach out to current employees do discuss any hesitation/concerns you have for working at Jastram.
