Pros
-Free Japanese snacks (and crates for full-timers) -Lots of things to learn beyond one’s comfort zone (more on that later) -Hyper focused on growth and trends -International work environment where Japanese wasn’t necessary -Innovative strategy for e-commerce website
Cons
-Their way of teaching you how to grow is throwing you off in the deep end and yelling at you not to sink -Upper management shows clear favoritism towards certain employees, and clear disregard towards others -Deliberately lowballs new hires with salary offers -(Former?) CEO comes into the office in the afternoon and expects everyone to be on the clock same as him -Working 10+ hr days without proper OT pay -Upper management contacts employees during off hours, nights, weekends, and holidays about projects and topics that could wait until the next work day. Work life balance is a myth. -Upper management’s way of trying to keep disgruntled employees happy is that meme with the guy slapping duct tape on a water leak (aka pizza party)
