Pros

Nice office buildings, free coffee. Good downtown location in Minneapolis that's easy to get to. You can set your own hours to some degree, with schedule flexibility.

Cons

Bizarre company. Management (largely supervisors and mid-levels) desperately cling to “what JAMF used to be” and refuse to listen to anyone with ideas that fall outside their self-contained group of “original employees.” The same people are named meeting after meeting, conference after conference, with no attention being made to new talent and new ideas. Pay is absurd. Companies in the Minneapolis/St Paul suburbs are paying more for entry level positions than someone who’s been at JAMF for 3+ years. There’s a strange “completely against any policy” attitude at JAMF. This manifest in ways like not requiring dogs to be on a leash, to the point where there are aggressive dog confrontations every time we go to the Eau Claire office. They harp on “if you drain the coffee pot you have to refill it," but not “keep your dog leashed in a commons area.” The building in Minneapolis is nice enough, and I suspect the new one will be too. The office in Eau Claire seems fine. Employee interaction with new people seem cliquish at best. Unless you already know someone at JAMF or easily fit into the very limited expression of culture here, good luck making many friends. Little opportunity for advancement. Jobs are often posted internally when a candidate has already been selected. These positions nearly always go to friends of supervisors, managers, or employees who went to college with those same people.

Pros

Benefits are pretty much the only positive at this point. Working hybrid is nice, but pales when we used to be fully remote with no issues.

Cons

The senior managers of Technical Support are driving this org into the ground. Employees are no longer a human, no longer an employee; we are now just numbers. KPI requirements have gotten ridiculous requiring employees to almost literally fight over available work to make ourselves look better. Its a complete sham, a numbers game. There are those of us that are legitimately here for our users and administrators, but the quantity of work has vastly outweighed the quality.
