Pros

Jackson Kayak suffered weak managerial structure and frequently overwhelmed employees with far more work than could be considered healthy and was quite disorganized. HOWEVER! The new leadership that has been implemented has resulted in more structure, clearer direction and vision and realistic expectations than some of us 'long-haul' employees could have ever thought possible. We have quarterly town hall meetings to keep everyone looped into what is happening with the company, and improvements to the factory have created a safer and more welcoming environment. After years of struggling it is great to have turned a corner and to be sharing profits and wage increases with both hourly and salaried team members; we have free health care plan options available and even a 401k option. Combine that with the fact that we literally make fun... and you've got a company that maintains a family feel with the benefit of a quality management team. Pay is at long last competitive with similar jobs across the state, and not just in this region.

Cons

Task workloads can swing from manageable to overwhelming in a relatively short span of time.

Pros

Pay is decent as long as your willing to slave or get your knees dirty. When they can pay that is, they seem to have an issue with paying employees from time to time.

Cons

All joking and personal opinions aside.....its all a big con. Nothing about this company is hood.
