Pros

You can learn a lot if you survive the culture.

Cons

- Associates/Senior Associates get fired every other week (despite it being a small company). - The pay is nowhere worth the amount of hours you have to work. - They say they "support as a family," but will happily shove blame to junior team members if a badly scoped project isn't able to meet deadlines. - Overly criticise the slightest mistake a person makes, even if the person has never used a particular tool before. They expect you to perform at the level of a grade above your current grade just for you to pass your probation. - No benefits given to people who are on probation (no private healthcare, cycle to work, etc.) and they will essentially keep extending your probation so long as you receive any form of constructive feedback. - Heavy bias towards people who are of the right "culture" - the majority of people who pass probation/get promoted are from Oxbridge. - They hire ethnically diverse people in their London office but rarely pass them for probation or promote them. Recent firings have mostly been people who were on work visas or were ethnic minorities.

This also means that people progress and grow within the business faster than they would elsewhere. It is a pity that you have not experienced feedback constructively and positively as that should always be the aim. We care and therefore provide feedback. You are correct, we contractually offer some benefits only after probation has been passed, which is standard practice. That being said all employees get life insurance equivalent to four times their annual salary as well as excellent income protection, we match pension contributions up to 8% and provide work-from-home setups from day one. We conduct regular surveys on benefits and pay and we hope that you will provide the same feedback then as you have now. We are a global business with diverse ownership. We are diverse by design, with the majority of our employees being based in South India but from various parts across the country, and having employees in our London office from over 20 different nationalities. We are continuously adapting the way we work to cultivate an inclusive environment for every JMAN employee and make our hiring decisions on skill and merit. Direct client experience. Fast-paced, intense learning environment.

Cons

The pace can be intense during peak delivery cycles, especially when balancing multiple client priorities - typical of consulting/ finance though.
