Pros

Sorry but there is no pros not even the payment especially the way you get treated and what you have to put up with.

Cons

I have been working forSolihull JLR for many years. If it wasn't for the pay I would have left years ago. Where to start? You are not aloud to go to the toilet unless there is cover, if there isn't cover you are not aloud to go! where is basic human rights? There should ALWAYS be cover. There is no respect in the work place. It is always nice to have a good laugh/joke with people BUT there is so many idiots that work on the track, I've seen and heard a lot of bullying throughout my time there, damn right pathetic, we are in a work place not a school playground, too many haven't grown up! They get away with anything and everything. Management couldn't give a toss. I have no idea how this company has got away with health and safety Management is so poor! While everyone is working hard, the leaders are on their phone especially on facebook or just being lazy. If you have a problem or concern they couldn't care less, the only time they will do something about it if you threaten them with the union. Parking is a joke and always has been! If they put you on a new job for whatever reason, the training is poor, then they have the cheek to moan that your not quick enough or not doing the job right, maybe get the right training would be great for starters! If you want to move else where in the factory, your leader has the final say, even if you have qualifications for that job. There is so much wrong with this company. They don't care about you, course not, they only care what money is coming in. All my time I have been there it has just got worse and worse over the years. I have seen many leave due to poor management or idiots on the track. They haven't got a clue. Too many work in silence and get on with it, and of course you have the disrespectful idiots working there, which I am not going to lie it has always been like that but it has just got worse. If you are looking to work for this company expect to put up with a load of BULL. I have happily left the work place which I wish I did years ago & have joined a different company that give you a lot of respect. If you have any problems or concerns you can easily go to them and they will listen. Plus the people you work with act like adults not children. It was a nightmare working for JLR They need to do something with those who turn up to work stinking of weed! If you are joining because of the pay believe me there are other companies that offer the same amount of pay and you get treated a lot better. So much goes on in that work place question why is it still up and running or why have they kept certain people on. Maybe send a questionnaire out to see how happy everyone is? and see how good the team leaders are at their jobs? My review might sound harsh but only telling the trust and facts of this company especially that I've been working here for many years. Shame really cause all the new people or young people get excited working for a well known company and they expect a lot from this company to realize what a terrible company it really is. What you have to do and put up with on a daily basis the money is never enough. I would never recommend to work here, unless they actually act like a business. I've heard the new JLR is a lot better, its a shame they don't get paid the same as solihull

Pros

Great work life balance Supportive environment

Cons

If you fall in the less than 3 years experience bucket, your best shot is the new graduate positions which have terrible pay and full-time employment after 2-years is not guaranteed.
