Pros
Worked here for 7 years in 2 countries. Joined as a 22 year old naive idiot straight out of university, I’m still an idiot now but with friends for life, grateful for life changing opportunities, and money to swan about the world for 2 years. Recruitment is hard as hell, you hear horror stories from all sorts of companies being shady, not giving a crap about their employees, but I can vouch that nothing like that happened at JCW in my experience. Jamie, Et, John, and every single person that I interacted with in my time there were genuinely good people. Yes everyone has their own agenda somewhat, that’s life, but I never once felt that they didn’t want me to succeed to the best of my potential. They moved me from the London office to the Boston office (Nick and Megan might be the nicest pair of managers in all of recruitment) and I can’t put into words how incredible and selfless that was for them to do that, that’s a once in a lifetime event that they gave me, and my life is better for it forever. I had a financial goal that I wanted to hit in 5 years from working in recruitment, I 10x that in 7 years, so now I can travel the world for 2 years and come back with money to do whatever I want to do next (probably not buying an airline but almost whatever I want). If you’re thinking about getting into recruitment, or weighing up your options, I promise you I will never work for a recruitment company other than JCW. Financially, socially, rewarding(ly?) I lucked out so hard for this being the place I landed. Put in the grit, they’ll help you grow, and life can be great. Thank you JCW, will forever be grateful for you putting up with my weirdness and giving me what I have.
Cons
The toilets in the old London office were crap.
