Avoid this firm unless you are absolutely desperate for a job. They are nothing more than a commodity service business run by non-architects. $$$ drive every decision. They fail horribly in trying to be a national firm and do not have the savvy or understanding of how to successfully practice as a multi-office architecture firm. Everything revolves the corporate office in Hartford. They call themselves an ESOP, but it is really Peter Stevens’ company (he is not an architect or even a designer).
JCJ is just part of the alphabet soup of companies posing as architecture design firms.
And don’t let them fool you about being an employee/owner. Ownership means nothing, the stock value is practically zero, you have no say in business decisions and the door you entered through is a big revolving door. You will probably be kicked out the door as soon as they are done with you. They have a high turn-over rate.
Just remember you were warned!
