A supportive union for junior staff that is respected by management. Absolutely incredible colleagues - passionate, smart, kind, committed. Truly the best I've ever encountered in a workplace. Everyone always says the best thing about this place is the people. Meaningful and highly strategic work. You will learn a lot and gain many new skills here. Responsive management and HR that clearly care about the people who work here. Great benefits including Unlimited PTO that is actually used, 401K match, generous leave policies, flexibility depending on the team in terms of work setup (hybrid, work from home options) and sabbaticals if you've been there a while. Some of the reviews here seem really outdated. The org has done a lot of work to increase pay bands to more competitive rates and increase transparency around promotions and advancement. The HR people circulate data on pay and women are at par or outrank male peers. Very welcoming as well to non binary individuals. I love the LQBTQ affinity group. It seems like a lot of people stay for a while. Pretty much everyone in management seems to have grown from being a junior employee here. Good career trajectory and possibilities for growth internally.

The mission is a challenging one, as with many non profits, and there are always more things to do. You have to work with your manager to pace yourself and prioritize so you do not burn out and enjoy your work life.
