Pros

...Nothing ever is. I have worked for two other companies in my career, and have found JPMorgan to be the best experience. My first job was in an exteremely relaxed environment, and my second was exceptionally intense. JPMorgan is right in the middle. Don't get me wrong, things can get a little crazy from time to time, but for the most part the work is manageable if you are operating at a high level.

Cons

Because of the merger between JP Morgan and Chase, we have to work with multiple systems across the private bank and retail side, which oftentimes do not communicate with eachother. Also, a lot of operational work has been outsourced to Mumbai; cultural and linguistic barriers make this a cumbersome fact of every day life.

Cons

I can be overly detail-oriented at times, but I’ve learned to balance quality with delivery timelines and business priorities.

Pros

I loved working at Chase in Home Equity and First Mortgage. Decent pay, decent managers that were supportive.

Cons

The business credit card department is an absolute nightmare - avoid! We got moved around due to housing market changes. Understandable but they also made it seem like it was going to be the best thing that could happen to us. Told us we wouldn’t be answering calls and then it was full blown call center. It was the literal worst. Most unorganized, unsupportive, dumpster fire of a department.
