Pros

-Decent CTC, bonus -Decent cafeteria, daily meal coupon -Free cab

Cons

Joining J.P.Morgan might be the biggest mistake of my life. First to start with recruiting HR's will introduce themselves as product based org but make no mistake they are nothing but a service based company with good benefits. If you are more into money, this is a place for you, but if you are passionate for software development with highest standards, stay away. People here are only focused on delivery and making business happy at any expense. Its exactly similar to companies like TCS, CTS. In my short span, I have never seen anyone discussing and documenting design in length. I was quite shocked watching the quality of code. Also productivity is measured not in terms of output but time you spend in your office. You are required to fill time sheet of 8 hours and expected to stay in 10 hours. Also one of the higher management plainly mentioned this is not a place for you if you want flexible timings. What is most disappointing about it is unwillingness to change. Even if you have some suggestions for improvements, if something is working why change it.

Pros

I loved working at Chase in Home Equity and First Mortgage. Decent pay, decent managers that were supportive.

Cons

The business credit card department is an absolute nightmare - avoid! We got moved around due to housing market changes. Understandable but they also made it seem like it was going to be the best thing that could happen to us. Told us we wouldn’t be answering calls and then it was full blown call center. It was the literal worst. Most unorganized, unsupportive, dumpster fire of a department.
