I came over as part of an acquisition, so did not necessarily choose Ivanti. However, after giving it a chance for a few months, I quickly realized many things. There is a massive lack of clarity at all levels of leadership. They note they will not tolerate disfunction, however, the company is nothing but that. Their answer to poor planning and down numbers are to hire more people. More people does not equal more output. I ask leadership what our goals are. No one can tell me. Absolute chaos.
The executive team does not show alignment across. As a marketing professional who wants to grow, there is absolutely NO room for upward growth in Marketing with 200 or more people in that team. This group is far too big for the size of this company. You have most of the marketing leadership team who is not qualified to be in their jobs and there is a mass exodus happening with people leaving after only 30 days of employment because of the disfunction, lack of direction and inter-squabbling.
Leadership will tell you what you want to hear but not live up to their word and then play the victim card when you confront them on their inability to keep to their word.
Even though they do not want to see it, many have zero...
- Trust
- Confidence
- Faith
- Hope
....in both the marketing leadership as well as the executive leadership.
I would strongly advise against taking a role in the Marketing organization at Ivanti unless you are coming in on an entry level role to grab some experience to get out. If career growth is something you seek, it will not happen under their current CMO as she looks out for only those who agree with everything she says and does. If you challenge her or question anything, you will never go anywhere. She says she likes to be challenged but in reality, she does not.
Some would even describe it as "cultish". If you don't subscribe to the CMO butt-kissing politics, you are ousted.
I would strongly suggest to stay away.
