The startup environment means things move fast and there's real ownership over what you ship.

The company has a startup culture and workload without the startup compensation package - no equity, limited benefits, and a high volume of work. The newer IT management is a positive step, but upper business leadership struggles to communicate and collaborate effectively with the engineering department. There's also a layer of business side employees whose actual work doesn't match their job titles, which creates confusion, noise and unnecessary distractions for developers - especially when they bypass team managers and go directly to engineers
