Pros
- Young employee demographic (early 20s to mid 30s) - Inclusive, very women and LGBTQIA+ friendly - 30% discount on all products from Issy and its sister companies - Free makeup every launch - Unique brand image that's very forward-thinking - HMO but only after 1 year of employment - Able to connect with people in the makeup/creative industry - Fellow employees are nice and friendly
Cons
- Only 12 PTO per year total - Office isn't the most pleasing environment, not conducive - Advertises themselves as a "hybrid" setup but only Friday is WFH and sometimes they take that away (e.g. taking away Friday WFH when there are too many holidays in a month) - Too strict and fussy with time (will scold you if you do your makeup or eat during work hours even for only a few minutes) - Pace is too fast, easy to burn out - Some top and middle managers are mean and unprofessional (e.g. abusing their power, using harsh words, mean girl energy) - Lack of training programs for new hires and interns - Management will schedule out-of-office work without consulting employee availability - Lack of planning, lots of last-minute tasks/projects - Lack of accountability from management - Lack of support and consideration during natural calamities like typhoons
