Pros

-Incredible mentors and great leadership. If you're a young employee management will treat you like a younger sibling and guide you as best as they can and they understand your personal issues. -Real world skill development. For example: you could've had no job and been ill-prepared for the real world but the skills taught here help significantly. -Virtually unlimited career growth. As an oversimplified explanation, a general labourer could become a general foreman given they put in the time and effort. They can even grow further beyond that! -Solid team culture and dynamics. At Ironclad we have a strong view of team culture. Your crew on site will be like a second family to you and they will treat you well. -good compensation. Not many things to say besides it's good, better than the industry average. -Engaging and high caliber work. Being a general labourer especially if you're young can give you a sense of pride, helping out with massive projects feels much more rewarding than retail store work or fast food service, not that there's anything wrong with the latter. -Easy commute via car/bus. If you live in the city it's easy to get to projects with minimal issues. our employees here in Winnipeg don't have complaints with taking the bus or a commute by car.

Cons

-Occasional burnout. Long hours can do that to anyone but this isn't a huge issue since management is good with time off, as usual just give a fair warning before you need some time off. -Lackluster work/life balance. Tying into long hours as mentioned above, overtime days are draining, the second you get off site it feels like you don't have much energy. If you don't mind long hours then this isn't a huge issue once again.

Pros

Supportive management team that is approachable, respectful, and willing to help when needed. Positive workplace culture with strong teamwork and a shared commitment to success. The role provides opportunities to learn valuable skills in communication, problem-solving, organization, and property maintenance. The work is productive, rewarding, and offers a good balance between independent responsibilities and collaboration with colleagues

Cons

Month-end periods and back-to-back unit turnovers can be demanding and fast-paced at times. Workloads may increase significantly during busy seasons, requiring strong time management and flexibility. However, teamwork and support from colleagues help make these periods manageable.
