Pros
The projects are all meaningful - and the company has the cutting-edge technology to go for them. There is some great science too - it was pleasure to learn new ideas and collaborate with some very good and experienced Scientists. On top of that, Intrexon has a great working environment!
Cons
Management is clearly terrible - no one doubts that. I truly believe that they are responsible for why most projects have shown no improvements over the course of the past few years. Take a look at the stock prices - investors have already realized this and commenced to move away. from Intrexon. Also the incoming projects are always 1-step behind whats needed. So I totally agree with them on the fact that Intrexon is going down the road - and it is better to find other partners out there - even if their technology is a few-steps behind. Better to have company with an organized and cultural management who treat their projects and employees with a moderately-good technology - rather than a company with the cutting-edge technology - but terrible management. Other than that, the high-level decisions are made awkwardly slowly. When it comes to decision-making, new ideas are rarely preferred and people often become hesitant when they are approved.
