Pros
Good people overall in the company, poor company decisions lead to low morale and sad vibes but there is a sense of pride and determination in a subset of people.
Cons
The company, despite shutting down multiple mills and further simplifying their business model to the point where its uninteresting and plateauing, my particular department was highly overstaffed and overcomplex for what they provided in value. Any other comparable company size/department I’ve worked in operates with much more enthusiasm, drive, and efficiency. It was devastating morale constantly, and I could pinpoint the waste everywhere. Was so bored here and felt like the entire company was sad and worried 24/7. Not to mention people walking out crying after being let go and watching my department continue to overhire.
