Good experience but felt micromanaged - Behavioral Interventionist Intensive Behavior Intervention Consultants Employee Review

Pros

I like that this company only has school based cases. Working with the kids and seeing all the progress that has been made is an awesome feeling. But then getting pulled off cases for no reasoning after doing so well, then working with kiddos that are even harder. I’ve dealt with kids that left bruises on daily basis or kids that would elope and try to get off campus. But once you work the kids and target these behaviors and see the changes is awesome.

Cons

But there is a lot of micromanaging at this company and a lot of non-paid days. No paid time off just sick hours can be used, no holiday or vacation pay. No work during winter break, spring break, thanksgiving break and when not chosen to work summer break, no work. Pay raises are on company’s discretion and sometimes based on performance evaluations.

Pros

Good experience to work in schools Stable job if your assigned kid is not chronically absent. Okay experience but you don’t do a lot of ABA therapy.

Cons

Very underpaying. You do not get any holiday pay during Winter or Spring breaks. Not qualified for unemployment benefits. Supervisors can be hit or miss. Some will be supportive and others are unsupportive. Support from school staff can be a gamble You get paid more working with teenagers as hours are longer. Subbing is required but they don’t reimburse you for mileage if going from home to another school. No pay raise, even when they promise to raise it after 60 hrs of training. Pay raise is at their own discretion or if you work in the office. One of the most underpaying agencies contracted by LAUSD. Understaffed and will guilt trip you for using your PTO
