Pros

The Helix (Integral Powertrain) management were all smiles, as if everything was perfect. Taking ad-hoc leave for personal matters, such as medical appointments, is relatively flexible.

Cons

To save cost, payday is on the last day of each month. All business travel, including hotels and train tickets, must be booked by the company. While the timings are quite inflexible, it does help save money. The company likes to say it looks after its staff. In practice, when it found out that an employee’s family member had cancer and needed care, it targeted them for redundancy — no compensation, just a notice.
