Pros

For the most part, the technician and front desk staff do a good job. Good attitudes and work hard.

Cons

The owner of the practice creates chaos in his management style. It is very difficult to work under. When I quit, he threatened me by stating that he would not pay me out my PTO which is a big no no per NY State law. He did eventually pay me out. Then, he stiffed me on my final pay check - underpaid me by a significant amount. I wouldn't recommend any vet trust their license at this place.

Pros

You will see a wide range of interesting cases, with an EXCELLENT team. The support staff and technicians are very well trained, efficient and kind people. Eli is the owner and manager he is fantastic, he is flexible, provides enough breaks through the day, and will never interfere with how you practice medicine. I highly recommend this for a vet who wants a true mix of urgent care and GP work, with a great team. I would like to also add that Eli will help you to work with clients who are cost constrained.

Cons

It can get busy in periods of the day, but the team is effective to manage this on the schedule and will give you the support you need in these times.

Pros

Co-workers are great even the clients were great. That’s it. The 2 stars are for them.

Cons

owner made the schedule and job overall horrible for the team. Removing and double even triple booking appointments from out of office they would tell me. He would question the doctor time on procedures in order to get more patients/more money in. He would not care about taking breaks, team had to cover each other in order to get lunch. Pay and raises are minimum or non existent for them. WILL MICROMANAGE TEAM. He watches cameras all day long and will call the staff in the back about things he sees. would never recommend anyone work here unless desperate for money which I can understand I guess.

Dear "Former" Employee and Glassdoor community, As an owner and leader of a growing veterinary practice in NYC, i will be first to admit that i'm not a perfect manager. To protect the privacy of our staff, we cannot legally comment or elaborate further on employee terminations. However, as of today, we are proud to elevate a highly experienced LVT into a management role, who is widely respected by her colleagues at InstaVet for 3 years and possesses real leadership skills and a strong work ethic. I welcome anyone to come by any weekday ( on weekends i'm busy being a father of 2 boys and a 2 month old girl) and ask for the owner for a tour and i'll gladly show you how we treat our employees and clients alike! Spread the word! Eli
