Pros
The Cyber Security Awareness Training market is growing and IeL has some great content and courses that hit the mark. The potential in the market is very high. There are some absolute A+ players on the team. The challenge is that they are not listened to nor pulled into key discussions about how to resolve the company’s challenges.
Cons
The company does not have sound executive leadership and the board of directors does not make the necessary decisions to truly grow the company. The main issue stems from the product itself. There is no sound product strategy and the competitors in the space are growing at a much faster pace than IeL. IeL cannot compete with the solutions provided by Cofense, Wombat, KnowBe4, & MediaPro. Overall, the team at IeL have fostered a culture of high pressure sales and a focus on the after work happy hour as a goal. There is an attitude that they should only hire in San Antonio and a negative attitude about remote employees. It also seems that the only talent they can acquire is from Rackspace. The company is currently still in the Leadership group in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. I personally don’t believe they will remain in that group in the next review. That is a major issue for the long term prospects for the company.
