Pros

Free food (pre-pandemic) Smaller company, so your efforts are recognized

Cons

Did not handle the transition for work ling from home well. Higher-ups are mostly baby boomers and are stuck with the mentality that you have to physically be in the office as much as possible. Has the culture of putting work first before your own physical and mental health. Mental health days are usually frowned upon until you threaten to quit flue to high stress

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take it to heart and care deeply about our employees and their experiences. We agree that the free food, especially the Friday lunches, are a great perk and we look forward to creating these opportunities for employees to gather in person again once we can safely return to the office in our Northern CA region. In addition, recognizing employees for their efforts is something that we continue to improve upon, and are happy you had a positive experience with this. In addition to incorporating gratitude into our day-to-day climates, formal employee recognition is a regular and exciting part of our bimonthly All Hands meetings. This past year has been a very challenging time both personally and professionally for our staff and for Insidesource organizationally. Though we’ve strived to respond thoughtfully to the challenges we’ve faced, we always have room for improvement and will continue to put the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our team first. Team First is one of our values after all and we are currently doing work to increase empathy, inclusiveness, and support of each other within our workplace culture. We acknowledge that our employees have had different experiences working from home over this last year and we also acknowledge that the office landscape is changing. With that said, we are applying this awareness and knowledge as we work through our Northern CA “Return to Office” strategy. We are hopeful that the new approach will better support the overall well-being of our employees. We make it a point to encourage employees to take a mental health day to recharge when they need it and we also provide an array of wellness resources to employees on our Intranet page. It’s concerning that you did not feel supported in this way and we would like the opportunity to understand more about your experience. We encourage you to reach out to HR. To respond to your advice regarding prioritizing people over offices, Insidesource holds binding, multi-year lease obligations. We’ve taken necessary action and will continue to look for creative ways to reduce real estate costs. People changes are always a last resort. Thank you again for sharing your feedback with us. It really helps us understand where we can do better.

Pros

Decent pay, most people on the team were nice, really nice product, flexible work schedule as long as you got your work done and weren't traveling. Big name clients, looks good on a resume.

Cons

High work load, like high, slammed all the time. Working late and around the clock was praised. Managers don't have good idea of resource leveling and management. Leadership generally was out of touch. Furniture industry itself was quite unstable. Lots of layoffs and felt unstable like your job could be taken at anytime.
