Pros

Self-development if you're a newbie

Cons

Poor work-life balance: They literally say it as exactly in these sentences: "We don't believe in work-life balance. We believe in work-life integration." And, work-life integration means you will no longer have a personal life. If you're signed up for this, forget spending time with your family, friends or beloved ones. Even on weekends. A holiday? Forget it. And yes, even George Orwell wouldn't have imagined this form of a dystopia. Overtime working hours without payment: Get ready for working on national holidays, weekends and every special day you can name. Btw, they are marketing working especially on national holidays by CEO emailing all the employees in Turkey saying "we work on national holidays to create more national holidays". Of course pumping nationalist feelings doesn't show consistency if your HQ is in Singapore on the financial papers. They are calling them a Turkish startup, if they are talking to someone in Turkey, however they don't even mention Turkey when they're abroad talking to people in crowded, famous events. They mostly hide that they're a Turkish startup, since they strongly believe that foreigners are not going to trust them if they learn their so-called technology startup is from Turkey. Law salaries: I saw people working under minimum salary. No need to say more. Micromanagement: Even if they are trying to make you believe that you're taking responsibilities, they will be following up every second. If you don't reply the messages on the weekend, get ready for the bullying on Monday. Inexperience Senior Management: (P.S. Positive reviews are written by the HR team or content writers working in Insider. Believe me, I've seen a content writer working on Glassdoor reviews to propagate fake reviews. They really are unbelievable.)

Thank you for your feedback but honestly, this review upset me in every possible way. First of all, we call ourselves the People and Culture Team not HR, and nobody from our team propagates fake reviews. These are the real thoughts of our team members. How can we convince them to write a review which they don’t believe? They are a bunch of people who have free will and nobody can force them anything. At Insider, we never push any people from our team to write positive comments on Glassdoor because we are the company where everyone here is free to express themselves and share their opinions of any kind openly. Because we believe that open and constructive feedback can bring people together and creates a healthy communication flow. We always listen to feedback actively, taking the time to analyze them, and then thinking of the best possible solution to perform better accordingly. Hear from our Product Manager about how we value our team members' opinion: “The difference it has from other places is that in Insider I always feel that regardless of your age or title your opinion is valued and I’ve always felt it ever since I joined. That’s impact, being able to express your opinion and ideas without a know-it-all manager telling you your opinion doesn’t matter.” https://www.linkedin.com/posts/suyla-turanalp-37702013a_product-insider-saas-activity-6747793927954276352-lma_ Regarding your work-life balance review, one of our core values is working hard to achieve the extra mile because it is very well known that great things never come from the comfort zone. We explain our core values during the interview to our candidates, we do not give them fake promises, we explain our working environment, we explain our working hard culture and they accept it in the offer stage, we are expecting that you decide your own terms. Yes we work hard but at the same time “Insider unequivocally offers the opportunity to grow staggeringly, and learn tremendous amounts of skill sets. You not only magnify your capacities but also acquire extensive know-how.” as our Digital Growth Director in Taiwan said: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/useinsider_hearfrominsiders-activity-6577879594983133185-UCfQ. But while working in a fast-paced environment I absolutely agree with you on the fact that Insider is not for everybody. Regarding your low salary comment, I can not accept this feedback because we care about our team members and we work with outside partners to ensure we pay fair market value and offer generous equity packages for all our full-time team members. We are putting so much effort into making our team members feel financially secure.

Pros

1. The product demos well and, on paper, includes many features enterprise brands are looking for across personalization, lifecycle marketing, and customer engagement. 2. There are hardworking people across sales, SDR, marketing, onboarding, and support who are trying to do good work and support customers despite a challenging environment.

Cons

1. Commission is not handled in a clear or reliable way. The commission plan is not clearly written and is not consistently followed. Salespeople who close business will spend significant time disputing compensation they earned. 2. There is a noticeable gap between what is positioned during the sales process and what product, onboarding, and support teams are able to consistently deliver. This creates tension internally and disappointment for customers after signature. 3. The US sales motion is difficult due to limited client references, product gaps, and pressure to over-position capabilities in order to win deals. 4. The culture normalizes burnout and employee frustration. One comment from the CRO and co-founder during an AMA stood out: “You should want to quit Insider at least once a quarter. Once you want to quit three times a quarter, we can look at the problem.”
