Pros

- You'll be joining a group of 30-40 passionate and talented developers, designers, project managers, and team leaders that are just good fun to get along with. - They fully embrace and support a culture of professional growth with the Inlight Academy system. Inlight goes above and beyond to provide you with resources you feel you need to grow in your respective field. - You'll be working on many exciting projects for big brands like Chadstone, ahm, SGI, meaningful causes not-for-profits like MCRI, St Vinnies, Movember. Each project is a unique challenge requiring unique solutions. - If you're a developer, you'll keep up with best practices & modern tech solutions like React, React Native, Node, AWS, CraftCMS, and more. - Leaders place a high value on feedback on anything (personal or professional concerns, suggestions). Regular casual catchups with your mentors and leaders to help guide you towards your professional and personal goals. The transparency of leaders communicating their goals for the company and quarterly updates makes sure communication goes two ways. - Your colleagues there are just approachable and great to hang out with. Regular pub lunches, daily morning yoga sessions, and outings (a weekend in Torquay or a trip to Thailand) means you get to bond with the people you work with.

Cons

- Sometimes, it gets slightly quiet in the office when people are working at our clients' locations.

Pros

Some projects are interesting. Kind and friendly people. Pay is good for the size of the company. Some really good devs work there. Multicultural backgrounds, which is cool. They sponsor visas for some people. There are a lot of people who have been there for a couple of years. Some remote flexibility, depending on the team.

Cons

Limited growth opportunities in desirable and trending tech. Every team seems to have undesirable work, more than I've experienced at other jobs. Devs can get pivoted to outdated and/or undesirable tech/projects (tech debt, some unconventional tech stacks, or placed in areas that don't align with past experience with fewer transferable skills like Adobe Experience Manager). Common agency issues, like chasing easily agreeable shiny features over much needed tech-debt/cleanup, tracking work done in 15 minute increments on timesheets, and some micromanagement (depends on team). Expectations for both high quality work and fast output on small teams that manage multiple projects, which can get stressful.

Pros

The Inlight staff members especially SLT give so much to the company. They clearly really care about the people and the clients and have created a beautiful culture of learning, care, expertise and fun!

Cons

Some of the projects I worked on weren’t managed so well. However this was mostly due to staff changing
