Pros
-Great working environment -Facilities such as multi speciality gym, play areas including cricket ground, pool tables, badminton, swimming pool available (only in Indian development centers) to de-stress one self -Open work culture can reach out to any level of management with concerns -Lays lot of emphasis on work other than your own! It is very good as you get to mould your personality from aspects other than those from your work -Abundant resources/modules available to improve soft skills, technical knowledge
Cons
- If you have a desire to switch from one technology or business unit to another, your chance of that happening is too low. Even if it happens because you were continually persuing, the effect would reflect on you annual appraisal. -The apparaisal processes are very subjective. To give an view of what the processes end up allowing If you had a conflict with the manager or did not do what he/she said, then because of high subjectivity in the appraisal process, the manager would rate you low. The manager may also choose to rate you low because somebody else was in his/her good books Once you are rated low, then your pay hike naturally becomes 'bag of peanuts'
