Pros
Diversified discipline in which most of the employees will get rotated which will enrich ones knowledge about the whole gamut of the corporation's business. Indian Oil believes and encourages officers to be a Generalist to lead the corporation in the challenging time. Entry level salary is good for an officer.
Cons
A complete mismatch between policy objective and implementation. Management doesnot know/believe with the problems of the employees. Being an PSU, Union interference is high in day to day activities and management had already surrendered to Union. No Work life balance. Communication channel has lot of negative filters.
