Horrible work environment and waste of time - Project Manager Impact Club Employee Review

Pros

You think it is full of promise, a lot of uplifting talk to work hard for the company, but then you realize you can take more away from what you go through once you’ve left.

Cons

Read this now and do yourself a favor and don’t work here. The CEO could care less about his employees except for his head of management that basically runs the place and discriminates against all applicants/employees. They will use you, drain you, and then get rid of you once they have had enough.

Pros

The people are kind, supportive, fun and provide a safe place to be yourself and learn. This is a workplace that provides a safe place for all people no matter how you identify which is one of the reasons I respect my co-workers so much. The culture is so positive and uplifting all the while providing a fresh perspective on business practices and operations. I have learned SO much since I have started and genuinely love working here so far.

Cons

Because ImpactClub is a startup there are always changes going on and processes being updated. However, some people may view this as a con, but this is actually one of the things I like. I honestly can not think of any Cons about working here for me personally at this time.

Pros

Strong company values:
- transparency (leadership, direction, finances, etc.)
- employee feedback (that is acted upon)
 - personal development focus (opportunity and encouragement available 24/7)
 - non-contributing / problematic employees let-go immediately (aka no drama)
 - non-emotional work ethic instilled, practiced, and expected of every employee
 - emphasis on developing applicable skills across industries
 - upward mobility non-political, and performance driven Incredible perks / benefits including (but not limited to):
 - $1000 education credit (books, courses, e-trainings, conferences, etc.)
 - $75 fitness reimbursement
 - health insurance reimbursement
- company issue MacBook
 - quarterly retreats
 - weekly team-building exercises
- work remote (when needed)
- generous paid time off (2 full weeks plus additional time based on tenure and per-request)

Cons

- Intense fast-paced, high expectation work environment not for everyone

- high adaptability of company structure can lead to temporary uncertainty in roles and responsibilities

 - culture shock — steep learning curve for company history, evolution, and current operation
