Pros
The teaching model love & logic and high scope are a much better layout than other childcare centers I've seen Pay is much better than other daycares in the area The kids are amazing The chef feeds you every day and you're encouraged to eat with your class You have a lot of say with what you can do in your classroom There are no lead teachers, we are all equals, we can all contribute to lesson planning You learn from the kids! Directors ask teachers what they can do to improve on regularly and have a weekly news letter to keep them in the loop, there is open communication. It's like a family. Directors are super flexible with working around appointments, you only work 4 days a week and if you need to leave unexpectedly, they will make it happen.
Cons
Teachers will take advantage of personal time and call in more often than they should, just because they can. This puts a strain on the teachers who choose to come to work, who are left picking up the slack. However, if you don't come to work, you don't get paid. So that's really their loss. Attendance is rewarded with PTO.
