Pros
Zero, None, Run really fast!
Cons
● Inconsistent, and sometimes conflicting, guidance from leadership regarding HR policies. None of the policy updates were announced in writing to the team. ● The complete lack of a COVID policy. Neglecting the importance of protecting one’s health in the workplace. ● The complete lack of bereavement time for employees. ● Unfair treatment and firing of employees without any written notices or opportunity for improvement. ● Leadership lying to potential clients about certifications of their team members. ● The complete lack of structure from the OCM Team lead regarding onboarding, training, and setting up for success within the role. No specific training given related to OCM and how to succeed in the role. ○ Although we are expected to “take initiative” and not wait for direction, with very minimal knowledge of the project/job as a whole, it’s impossible to take the ownership that leadership expects of us.Employees need structured training and expectations/procedures in writing in order to succeed. Employees are set up to fail in this way. ● Sexist language from leadership. ● Leadership hiding their familial relationship despite most people in the office knowing about the relationships. This created a strange dynamic of the relationships being “office gossip” and only discussed behind closed doors. ● Inappropriate joking between leadership. Ex: pet names and language that would be deemed unprofessional if said by other staff to leadership. ● Feeling overall unsupported as a person, professional, and team member.
