Pros
Solid Company that has been around for a very long time. Good people that work hard and are dedicated to what they do. High level of pride in the work performed. Easy to be a long term Employee. Would recommend this as a decent place to go work if you are nearing retirement and not looking to grow. A good mix of benefits If you know how to find them and can understand how they work.
Cons
No future, dead end. If you want to be in the position you hire in for a very long period of time it's a great place to work. Upper management changes about every 3 to 4 years. No local HR support. The limited HR that is in the building will smile at you and say nice things but if you actually need anything you have to contact a call center in Ney York that doesn't have any real information about the local facility. Insurance provided is not good but, you'll be covered by the least amount a corporation can provide. If you are looking to grow into a leadership position, this is not the place to start. 401K is available but has changed Provider 2 or 3 times in the last 5 years. This is a typical corporate controlled operation where the only thing that matters to the decision makers is the bottom line.
