Pros

- It's a job. Working there results in a regular paycheck. - Decent benefits that they're quite proud of but really their benefits package is just a bare minimum of what a company *should* provide considering the present healthcare system in the US. Health benefits are better here than at some places. -They will take a chance on people who don't have directly related degrees (or, no degrees at all, for that matter). -There are a few genuinely nice people who work there.

Cons

- They pay overtime based on the fluctuating workweek. However, hours do not fluctuate. 41 hours minimum is expected and they will reduce pay if hours worked in a week are less than 40 and there is not enough PTO to cover un-worked hours. - They pay below industry standard. They acknowledge this. Don't expect any big paycheck here. - They lack diversity. This place is as white as the driven snow. - They're big on being an "IT Freedom family"... maybe this kind of 'cult'ure is what some job seekers are looking for, however, I was put off by it. Also, they like to think of themselves as a "company of owners" but do not behave as such, in my esteem. - They will make fun of applicants and speak poorly of former employees. They will also make fun of and speak poorly about their clients. Eeesh. They acknowledge this and seem to, to a degree, be enthusiastic about this aspect of their culture. - It seems to me that this place runs on a very retail type of mentality; that is, brag about yourself and subtly trash others to get ahead. Be two-faced. I guess you could call that a skill... being a good marketer of one's self, but... I think it creates tension and a negative environment. Presentation is everything here and far more important than reality. - Nepotism. To be expected in a small company, but, still, it exists here. - They're not straightforward. I was personally told a few, um, let's say "untruths" here.

Pros

The hiring process apparently got a revamp in 2020, I was hired in April and the process was "council" based. It was right before COVID and they were transitioning to remote positions. The process was three interviews and each one was interesting and challenging. I was challenged on both personality and knowledge. The training was extensive and ongoing, but after a few months of being here, I am completely comfortable and have a rhythm. There is plenty of opportunity for growth as I am constantly learning new tricks, getting involved in escalated issues with engineers, and getting into field service. It is easier to get hired with IT Freedom as they are a growing business. Certifications are not required but they are appreciated. Benefits are nice.

Cons

The only con really is the pay. It's 3k-4k lower than most positions that are essentially the same, BUT they don't require certifications.

Pros

The pros of working for IT Freedom are endless. Working for people who genuinely care about you as a human is refreshing, I have had quite a bit of jobs in my years but none compare to ITF. The people who work here are wonderful, basically a large group of friends. We pride ourselves on our family like atmosphere. Every door is open, all the way up to the CEO and President. The medical, dental and vision benefits are well above par and are paid for by the company. We are provided lunch every Friday for our meeting. We have outings, parties and gatherings that bring everyone together. ITF has room for growth if you apply yourself and do your job to the best of your ability. The flex working schedule makes working extra hours worth it.

Cons

I honestly do not have more than one con. The pay is a little below what most would pay for the positions, but they are a growing company and the benefits more than make up for the pay.
