As a busy and growing organisation, there are always lots of exciting challenges and opportunities for our teams to get involved in! We try to offer as much structure and support for our employees as possible – for example, through an extensive range of training in soft, technical and management skills to give our colleagues the abilities they need to succeed and grow, and our Year in Review program that celebrates achievements, recognises strengths and helps identify the most effective areas for professional and personal development. We also offer a great range of mental health and wellbeing support, through company-funded private healthcare, an Employee Assistance Program, Mental Health First Aiders and Mindfulness training to build resilience and self-confidence across the IRIS family. We aim to clearly communicate our overall strategy, and the projects, initiatives and expectations in place to succeed through a range of networks – including our popular monthly site update sessions, our Your IRIS newsletter, and, most recently, our IRIS TV channel. We were delighted to score highly in the ‘I know what’s expected of me’ sections of our employee engagement survey last year, so we’re happy we’re communicating these messages effectively.
