Within sales, change is constant, changing general managers, teams, line managers and no support or consistency with HR. Turnover is a real problem as what is promised vs what is delivered by management is polarising. The constant change has allowed a bullying / blame culture to flourish with people being promoted into other positions with no talent or experience yet are part of the right cliques (if you can lie to superiors you will go far). There are many examples of successful sales employees being overlooked or even bullied out of positions despite being top of their game. Bullying is a real issue and when approached with HR they will do everything in their power not to back the employees. Sales restructures happen every few years and favourites are kept seemingly without the results to back them up as territories are realigned to suit the favourites or reps are reinterviewed for positions they have done for years or lesser positions and then not given roles if their face doesn’t fit. Anyone who receives redundancy cannot leave bad reviews on places like Glassdoor - skewing all external opinion of Ipsen. Likewise there is a huge effort for the great place to work surveys to be filled in favour of Ipsen regardless of how people really feel.
