The company is still trying to find its identity. Is it a start up that's chaotic but gets things done? Is it a scale up that is trying to stabilize things?
There are different pockets that are at different stages, and they clash.
Some employees want things to remain the same, and they are anxious about changes. Some employees are driven by change, and they don't want to get stuck on old problems. It's hard to find balance between what past decision should stay the same, and what should definitely get challenged.
There aren't many benefits, except from what you're taking home as a salary. But that's the case with many scale ups, so this is nothing to get sad about.
