Smaller company, no real cons

Great place to get your foot in the door and establish experience and expertise in the industry. Intimate environment where you matter more than in a large company. Can get access to training and education that can really boost your career in the industry. Benefits are pretty decent for a small company. Overall positive work environment and light atmosphere where management is invested in your growth. Other than the uppermost level management, most research positions are internally promoted. Still, if you do well you can be promoted from an entry level worker to a lower management position in just a few years, which is more or less impossible in a larger biotech company. Great way to pad the resume in a few years and jump start your career.

Similar to many small biotech companies, after a few years what there is to learn will plateau. High turnover because of this, but that goes for most small companies.
