Pros
- Pay is competitive for the position and industry - 401(k) is extremely high (10-15% range) - The one time i met the CEO and a few members of the corporate team they were genuinely friendly and caring
Cons
- From my perspective, their main form of BD is by filling seats for the prime contractors on contract vehicles. Not sure they really "win" contracts besides filling seats for a few prime's in the defense contracting industry. For future employees it may be difficult to move "up" to leadership positions within the company or move "side to side" onto another position as IIS doesn't have many opportunities besides filling specific billets for the primes - Besides having a conversation or two with the corporate team at a team sponsored HH I never heard from the corporate office or my direct supervisor at the company (worked for IIS close to 2 years). Very much felt like i was punching a time card on a contract and heading home every day - As noted above, the 401(k) is very generous but the rest of the health and wellness benefits are well below those of competitors in the area. If you're interested in a position with IIS make sure to read all their benefits information as to make sure they fit where you are in your stage of life.
