Pros

There are some good people here.

Cons

Management very Clique-y Does not promote from within no matter how much they claim to. Complained about an incident with my direct manager regarding retaliation (manager would communicate aggressively and I expressed my discomfort) and being isolated from work related communication. HR (onsite) did nothing to follow up with my complaint which led me to complaining to an anonymous helpline promoted by IKEA to the coworkers as a resource. Nothing came from any of these complaints and I was instead terminated on a time and attendance technicality shortly after... Coincidence? I doubt it truly.

Pros

• Structured, delivery focused work • Data driven decision making • Independent ownership • Impact on team efficiency & customer xp

Cons

• Balancing customer facing expectations with project deadlines • Scope creep with cross team processes and reporting • Managers often leaned on me for more than my formal responsibilities, which led to overextension

Pros

I have a very empathetic and flexible manager. Although I do meet the requirement to be in office three days a week many others do not and don’t seem to suffer for it. My work can be challenging at times, but due to the slow pace of most things here I rarely feel overwhelmed.

Cons

This is, without equivocation, the most sclerotic organization I have ever been a part of. The management structure and reporting lines are inscrutable and even after 3 years I barely understand how my team fits into the larger picture. My job is a data role, and although getting access to data has improved somewhat, it is still one of my biggest blockers.
