Pros

Most of the people that work there are pretty nice and easy to get along with.

Cons

If you want to be successful, you'll have to put in 50+ hours a week and they barely give you any praise for that. Doesn't seem like there are any opportunities for women but that's painfully obvious by the complete lack of women in top management. The CIO doesn't understand technology and database systems very well and he's constantly trying to pull in contract help to put you out of a job. He's also really passive aggressive about everything and doesn't seem to care at all about his employees. There's also a weird hierarchy of importance and if you're not in one of those sections that is super important, they blame you for when things aren't done on time even though it's not your fault.

Pros

A consistent five‑day work week schedule.

Cons

Hussmann may be a recognizable name, but the internal experience is far from positive. Management is consistently reported as disorganized, unresponsive, and disconnected from the day‑to‑day realities employees face. Support from leadership is minimal, and follow‑through on basic issues is often lacking. Advancement is rare, and many employees feel stuck with no clear path forward regardless of performance or effort. These problems contribute to a workplace culture that feels negative, discouraging, and unnecessarily stressful. Stronger leadership, real opportunities for growth, and a genuine commitment to employee well‑being are badly needed. I would never recommend working at Hussmann.
