Pros
Plenty of overtime; free food to eat; the nature of the job is not difficult; staff(in my IRA anyways) where friendly and supportive.
Cons
First the IRA is never adequately staffed which leaves the remaining DSP in a danger position as they have to deal with individuals who have extreme behaviors and individuals that are "one on ones" which mean they need attentive attention. DSP can and are suspended(frequently) without notice for month's; There is a high turnover rate for, staff, mangers, as well as residential nurses. Bottom line is I wouldn't recommend this job unless you are really desperate for employment.
