Pros
Started great, got out in one piece. Learnt alot. Wont make the same mistake twice.
Cons
When i started there was a nice vibe which we built on and made even better. I believed in the mission and was producing great work. The whole thing looks and sounds amazing. About 4 months in things start to get rocky, It seemed liked a common thread for people to disappear after 9 months. This always worried me, I was always a little unclear why until i realised the disparity between what Huma speak about and what we delivered.
Huma have a great front and care a lot about perception, Take a look, its really amazing. With almost theranos obsession over replicating apple the heavy emphasis on perception is partly because underneath this paper thin exterior is a toxic environment, a hacked together product, sales people who are forced to sell things that don't exist, engineers who try to deliver impossible things or are left out to dry, and a leader who's public goal is about as honest and trust worthy as the public description of the name Huma. People never really work at Huma, just put out fires created through the friction of a chaotic environment and worry if they are next to be the target of a random witch hunt.
I really bought into the core values, but its good to remember not of these apply to the CEO and his friends. You will need all of your 6th sense to navigate the difference between truth and fiction.
