Very EU centric. Young founders are hesitant if not stubborn to listen to advice on the local market. VC backed so leadership decisions are behind curtains. Regional leadership lacks security experience, customer network, and channel network. Quotas are unrealistic 33% higher in a new market than in an existing one with market awareness. Comp plan is based off that unrealistic quota so they hardly pay commission. OTE was a pipedream, basically working for base salary to be paid sub 4% of closed revenue with no additional earning capabilities (eg equity, bonus etc).
