Pros

A great place to collect a paycheck for a year or 2 until the regulators finally catch-up and take real action. They will pay you a great deal of money to come on board.

Cons

Hospira has serious ethical issues. Employees are treated very poorly. The whole organization seems to be OK with sweeping issues under the rug instead of dealing with root causes. IT systems are supposed to be validated, but Hospira cannot even tell the FDA and others how many or what IT systems it has deployed. One employee potentially lost his/her job because he/she pointed out that actions Hospira had taken might be viewed as fraudulent or misleading in the eyes of regulators. Some employees speculate that the company is being sabotaged purposely by upper management in a ploy to get acquired by a larger firm. 70+% turnover in IT and high employee turnover in other areas as well. Was hired in a little over a year ago with 30+ new employees and of that group I know of 24 who left in the their first 10 months. At least one executive level employee is having an inappropriate relationship with an employee who reports directly to him. Leadership is well aware and does not see this as an ethical issue. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
